The vice director general of Moldova’s Railways (CFM) responsible for security was suspended from post, CFM director Oleg Tofilat has announced.
The director of Moldova’s Railways said the representative of the company’s administration entered the building at night together with an unknown person who presented himself as an employee of a law enforcement agency and disconnected the rudimentary security system. “During several hours, they practically held hostage two guards of CFM, locking them in a service room, taking away their phones and banning them from communicating,” Oleg Tofilat posted on a social networking site.
Oleg Tofilat said the internal investigation group continues its work and the vice director will remain suspended form post until all the circumstances are determined.
According to the official website of the institution, the post of vice director general responsible for security was held by Vitalie Bujor.
