After yesterday the Central Electoral Commission canceled the registration of Vasile Tarlev’s presidential endorsement group, the former prime minister today made a second attempt.
In the first submission, Tarlev was declared to be running as independent. But after being successfully registered, his endorsement group started gathering signatures under the banner of the Future of Moldova Party, of which Tarlev is president. The CEC decided this was enough reason to disqualify the group.
Denouncing the barring as “illegal and politically motivated”, Tarlev came today to seek registration as a candidate nominated by the Future of Moldova Party.
