Vasile Costiuc: Criminal case by order. He is accused of having bought votes

Vasile Costiuc, the leader of the "Democracy at Home" Party, said that a number of cases were started against him, which, according to him, were initiated by order. At a news conference hosted by IPN, Vasile Costiuc said that in one of the cases, he is accused of having bought votes in the election campaign, which is not right and these cases are sewn with white thread, which is were fabricated against him, IPN reports.

"We put on the table evidence of the abuses committed by the PAS government, the one that claims to be pro-European, against a pro-European party, such as “Democracy at Home",” said Vasile Costiuc.

"All these cases are criminal, civil ones. Last year alone, we won 12 cases. We will go together with the team to the European Commission, to the Council of Europe, to the European Parliament, to Washington. We will go and speak about the abuses of the PAS government, which, instead of dealing with the economy, theft, corruption, destroy the pro-European parties," stated Costiuc.

The leader of the "Democracy at Home" Party assured that he never had any access to governance so that he could be suspected of violating the laws, of having access to state funds or of having managed public funds.

"We, the political party "Democracy at Home", are accused of having bought votes in the local elections. For the purpose, they drew up a huge case and I came with a copy of it so that you understand what the so-called reformed prosecution service has been dealing with. The criminal case has 200 pages," said Vasile Costiuc.

He noted that he is making the information public only now in order to avoid accusations of interference in the administration of justice.

"We waited for a year, even more than a year, for that open trial to be investigated, so that they do not say that we are putting pressure on justice. We waited for a decision from the prosecutor's office to tell us that it was a kind of verification and the facts didn’t prove to be true. But what we found - that our great prosecutor's office seeks to jail us. They sent the case to court," pointed out Vasile Costiuc.

The “Democracy at Home” Party called on the international institutions accredited in Chisinau to take notice.
