Former minister of the environment and ex-candidate of the Bloc ACUM for MP Valeriu Munteanu said that through the visit paid by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Kozak, Moscow became so openly involved in the formation of a parliamentary majority in Chisinau for the first time since the declaring of Moldova’s independence. The issue was developed in a program on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

According to Valeriu Munteanu, the Socialists are interested in keeping the status quo or in federalizing the Republic of Moldova, in keeping the foreign army on the country’s territory and in replicating this model in Ukraine.

Nicolae Pascaru, president of the Movement “Voievod”, said it would be interesting if Moscow further supported an anti-oligarchic coalition and the West supported the government that existed in Chisinau until now.

Editorialist Nicolae Negru noted Moscow, with the assistance of the Bloc ACUM, wants to punish the Democratic leader Vladirmir Plahotniuc because this angered Russia through the expulsion of Russian citizens, by closing the door in front of Dmitry Rogozin and by asking to withdraw the Russian troops from the country’s territory at the UN.

While in Chisinau on a visit on June 3, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Kozak had meetings with the leaders of the PSRM, the PDM and the Bloc ACUM.
