Valeri Klimenco from the Șor Party and Valeriu Munteanu from Save Bessarabia Union were registered by the Electoral Council of the Chisinau Electoral Constituency as candidates for the position of capital’s mayor, IPN reports.

According to Chisinau CECEM website, so far, the electoral authority has registered five candidates aspiring to the position of mayor of the capital. Thus, Ion Ceban from the Socialist Party of Moldova, Andrei Donică from the "Speranța" Professionals Movement and Teodor Cîrnaț from "People's Will" Political Party have been previously registered.

September 19 is the deadline for submitting documents for the registration of candidates for the position of mayor or local councillor, announced the Central Election Commission.

Also, September 19 is the last day when candidates can be designated for MP position in the four uninominal constituencies (no. 17, 33, 48 and 50) where snap parliamentary elections will be held.
