Dwellers in Chisinau are urged to notify the Public Amenities Division if they notice invasions of fleas in apartment buildings. Emergency response teams will immediately travel to the specified addresses, IPN reports.

The Division’s head Ion Burdiumov, in the June 24 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, said a number of such complaints came from dwellers last week. The Division requested the business entity that performs the rat and insect annihilation works to double the number of emergency response teams.

The functionary noted the works are executed according to plan. Rat annihilation works were carried out in almost all the buildings of municipal enterprises and in over half of the blocks of owners’ associations.

The municipality this year allocated about 1,8 million lei for performing rat and insect annihilation works.
