The leader of the Political Party Renato Usatyi said he was threatened he would be convicted to 15 years in jail if he does not support Igor Dodon in the November 15 runoff vote. According to him, this would happen after the New Year, IPN reports.

In a news conference, the politician said someone fancied that he can be scared and intimidated, but this is not so. “I’m ready to lose everything now, but I cannot allow the “kulyok” (allusion to Igor Dodon, who in a video published this spring accepts from Vlad Plahotniuc a bag in which there was presumably money, e.n.) in power as he will continue to mock and discredit our country during the next four years, and not only before the citizens, but also before the partners,” stated Renato Usatyi.

The politician addressed the international organizations that monitor the presidential elections in Moldova, saying serious election rigging attempts will be made in the runoff vote, both at polling stations intended for Transnistrian voters and at those established in Russia. “Dodon, as a Moldovan man, decided not to pay twice for the fraud as the runoff will anyway take place,” noted Renato Usatyi. He said there are reports that 500 lei is offered for a vote in favor of Igor Dodon.

He urged the citizens to go and vote so as to ensure a change. “I have never been the fan of Missis Maia Sandu, but during the campaign I said it sincerely that I never heard any information about her involvement in acts of corruption,” said Renato Usatyi.

He added he is waiting for a clear proposal for dissolving Parliament after the presidential electrons from the Party of Action and Solidary, but hasn’t seen it yet. Next week he will present his own view and a plan for dissolving the legislative body.
