The Ambassador of Moldova to the U.S. Viorel Ursu transmitted to U.S. President Joe Biden heartfelt thanks for the continuous assistance offered to Moldova in strengthening the democratic institutions, the rule of law and in doing economic reforms in Moldova and for the offered educational programs. In his response, President Biden said the United Sates and Moldova have built a strong partnership based on joint democratic values, IPN reports.

The leader from the White House noted that Moldova’s fight against corruption and its efforts to build inclusive and thriving democracy represent a source of inspiration for the global fight against corruption. The United States were and will remain a reliable partner of Moldova in the process of doing democratic reforms.

“The United States fully supports the Republic of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Our governments worked closely to diminish the devastating impact of the war unleashed by Russia and we will continue to work together for pace and prosperity in the region,” stated President Joe Biden.
