Urban Bus Fleet of Chisinau seeks a credit of 10 million lei
The Urban Bus Fleet (UBF) will request Thursday November 23 from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) to contract a credit worth 10 million lei. Head of the enterprise Anatol Gheorghita says that the deficit of UBF’s financial sources is of 13.8 mln lei and formed because CMC did not allot budgetary sources for the second half of the year.
The enterprise needs funds to pay debts for diesel oil, tires, accumulators and anti-gel. Only the arrears for oil that was purchased on credit amount to 5.3 million lei.
According to Anatol Gheorghita, UBF was funded 30 mln lei only for half a year, so that the enterprise should have had to cease its activity by the end of August already. The credit of 10 mln lei is necessary to operate in normal regime until the end of the year as it faces a shortage of budgetary allotments.
According to Gheorghita, for July – December period there were expected to be allotted 32 mln lei. Provided that tickets for travel grew dearer and certain expenses were reduced, the necessities in October comprised 16.8 mln lei, of which the enterprise received only 2.5 mln from the budget.
