Update: The National Anticorruption Center has announced that the Leuseni customs post was also reopened, but the searches go on.
Large-scale searches are being carried out at the customs posts Sculeni and Leuseni in the morning of November 1. Both of the posts were closed, but the Sculeni customs post resumed work soon. The information was confirmed for IPN by the press officer of the National Anticorruption Center Angela Starinski.
“We regret the inconvenience caused by the closing of the customs posts and hope they will be reopened in the nearest future. Solutions are being looked for, together with the Customs Service, so that the people who want to cross the border are not seriously affected,” stated Angela Starinski.
Details about the reasons for the searches weren’t provided.
