An amount of 7.8 million lei that remained unused of the total sum given to the Central Electoral Commission for organizing the July 2021 legislative election has been returned to the Government Reserve Fund, the cabinet decided today.

The election authority received a total of 92.47 million lei for organizational expenses and used 84.57 million of it.

The returned money will be used to cover costs in unexpected situations or emergencies over the budget year in conformity with the rules of the Government Reserve Fund.
