Untidy public WCs at the „Saint Lazar” cemetery
The local authorities from Chisinau and the municipal funerary Service failed to prepare properly the “Saint Lazar” cemetery for the Memorial Day. This conclusion was made on April 29 by the numerous visitors that came to commemorate their relatives and do not have elementary conditions for lasting stay at the cemetery.
Thousands of persons were revolted by the fact that in such an immense space are working only two mobile toilet cabins. The messy toilets and the uncleanness on the nearby territories gave rise to the discontentment of the people. At the exit where the employees of the cemetery stay, in the presence of the Info-Prim Neo’s reporter, tens of visitors expressed their negative opinion regarding the fact it is impossible to enter the toilets and that the mobile toilets and those for money do not work. A citizen from Chisinau, Maria Dogaru, declared this situation is a defiance for the tax payers, that give money, inclusively for the right to use clean toilets on the territory of the cemetery. Similar were the speeches of the other people present at the cemetery.
A responsible person from the administration of the cemetery that did not want his identity revealed declared the situation appeared because of the lack of financial sources that have to be given by the local administration. He said that instead the Mayoralty takes money from the Funerary Service. Asked by the reporter of Info-Prim Neo, why on the territory of the cemetery are parked or circulate cars, he declared that all the drivers have 1st degree invalidity identity cards and in this way passing through the road police filters.
Those four road police inspectors did not show their availability to discuss with the reporter of the agency.
The new head of the Funerary Service, Vadim Cojusneanu could not be found by the hour of the news broadcast.
Previously the local authorities and the heads of the municipal services declared that all the cemeteries from Chisinau are ready to house the big number of visitors on the Memorial Day.
