University professor suspected of trafficking children for sexual exploitation

A professor from the “Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics in Chisinau was arrested for 72 hours, suspected of recruiting children for sexual exploitation, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the professor is suspected of having asked an employee of the Ministry of the Interior’s Migration and Asylum Bureau to recruit children for sexual exploitation. During the investigation, the prosecutors and the policemen identified 3 victims aged between 14 and 15 years. According to prosecutors, the file against the worker of the Migration and Asylum Bureau was sent to court earlier for thorough examination. In this investigation, more people were accused of trafficking children for sexual exploitation, including a citizen of Syria.
