Union members will have electronic cards
The National Confederation of Unions in Moldova (CNSM) will launch the union member universal electronic card in 2012. The card will enable union members to benefit from services under preferential terms, Info-Prim Neo learned from a CNSM press release.
CNSM announced that with the card, union members will have advantageous conditions for paying for legal consultations, recreation services, medical examinations, communications, gas and other services.
“Moldovan unions will do their best to develop and implement innovational instruments to keep up with times. Launching this card is a new step towards the modernization of the union movement in the country”, said Oleg Budza, head of CNSM.
The union leader informed that this practice was successfully implemented in several European countries. The card will not only prove the holders’ union membership, but will allow them to pay for various services.
CNSM has other 500,000 members from 29 national union branches. In February, 2010, it joined the International Confederation of Unions, which has over 175 million members.
