Cigarettes and perfumery items, hidden among personal luggage, were discovered in a coach traveling on the Chisinau-Bucharest route. The vehicle was subjected to checks at the Albița joint customs checkpoint, IPN reports.

In the personal luggage of a female passenger, 3,400 cigarettes of various brands, without excise stamps, and 20 perfumery items were found, concealed for the purpose of illegal transport.

A 36-year-old Romanian citizen has been documented in the case.

The case has been taken over by the competent authorities in Romania. The goods were confiscated, and the individual risks a fine.
