Ukraine authorises Moldovan meat imports

The veterinary service of Ukraine has authorised meat import from Moldova, announced the official webpage of the Ukrainian Government, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to the Ukrainian chief vet Ivan Bisyuk, on January 17, 2007 Ukrainian veterinary experts checked 8 meat processing enterprises of Moldova. On March 26, 2006 the State Department of veterinary medicine of Ukraine banned meat import from Poland, Belarus and Moldova for incidents of products' importation without relevant veterinary documents. In 2006 Moldova produced about 98 thousand tonnes of meet, by 13 thousand tonnes more compared with 2005. Moldovan companies plan to produce 108-110 thousand tonnes and to import only 25 thousand tonnes.
