The inhabitants of Ucrainca village of Causeni district will go again to the polls to elect their mayor on Sunday, November 24, when the second round of mayoral elections will be held, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Central Election Commission.
The voters will choose between two candidates, who polled the largest number of votes in the first round – the representative of the Liberal Democratic Party Ion Crivoi and the representative of the Communist Party Nicolae Banari.
The mayor of Ucrainca Vladimir Iurco tendered his resignation. He was elected mayor in the local elections of 2011, when he ran as an independent.
