Two men aged 25 and 27 were sentenced to 25 and, respectively, 21 years in prison for robbing and murdering an old woman in Straseni district, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Prosecutor General's Office. According to the prosecutors, the offenders knew that the old woman was alone at home as her children worked abroad. They went to the victim's home and demanded that she give them money. They beat her to death and stole property to the value of over 12,000 lei. Afterward, they set the house on fire in order to hide their crime. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
