A child aged two was found dead in a pond in the yard of his parents’ house. It happened in Tătărăști village of Cahul district in the evening of September 7.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Cahul Police Inspectorate Cristina Ciobanu said the police were alerted by the child’s father who said that the boy went missing. After examining the yard and other places of the house, the child was discovered in the yard pond.

The parents said the child remained in the grandmother’s care. The family has two more children.

Legal action was taken to determine all the circumstances of this case.
