Two students not allowed to take Baccalaureate exam because they had cellphones on them

Two students were not allowed to take the Baccalaureate exam in the language of study because they tried to enter the examination hall with mobile phones and earphones, director of the Quality Assurance Agency Anatol Topala said, quoted by IPN.

The two will be able to sit this exam next year. Last year, 19 students were removed from the examination hall when they took the exam in the language of study.

Anatol Topala stated that the low number of persons who tried to cheat and the fact that the exam questions and answers didn’t appear on the Internet show that the mentality started to change and the teachers and parents support the reforms pursued by the Ministry of Education.

The next Baccalaureate exam, in the foreign language, will be held on June 9. As many as 229 students were freed from this exam because they had international certificates showing proficiency in a foreign language and got thus the grade ‘10’.
