Two people died as a result of two road accidents that occurred last night in Chisinau municipality and Fălești district, IPN reports.

In the accident that happened in Răuțel village of Fălești district, a 40-year-old driver, while traveling between the villages of Răuțel and Pârlița, hit from behind a bicycle driven by a 74-year-old man. Following the impact, the cyclist died on the spot.

Another accident occurred on the Chisinau-Orhei route, in Stăuceni commune. A 64-year-old man was fatally hit by a car driven by a man aged 57 when jaywalking.

The General Police Inspectorate said that none of the drivers was intoxicated. The investigations into the cases continue.
