Two more persons want to become independent MPs
Two more persons – Tatiana Tsymbalist and Oleg Bolotnikov – on Wednesday, March 4, applied for registration with the Central Election Commission (CEC) to be able to participate in the April 5 elections as independent candidates, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Another application on Wednesday was made by the Moldovan Republican Party.
Following a drawing of lots, it was established that Bolotnikov will be positioned on the 18th slot of the ballot paper, followed by the Republican Party on the 19th, and Tsymbalist on the 20th. The ballot order may still be changed by CEC.
Earlier, two persons announced their intention to run as unaffiliated candidates in the upcoming legislative elections – these are municipal councilor Sergiu Banari of Balti, and Helsinki Committee chairman Stefan Uratu.
Thursday, March 5, is the last day on which political parties and independent candidates may apply for registration with CEC to qualify for the race.
