Two minors were struck by a car that was projected onto the walkway after it collided with another vehicle. The children, aged 2 and 11, were admitted to the Chisinau Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenko”.
Contacted by IPN, Petru Cravet, who is in charge of public relations at the National Emergency Medicine Center, said the children’s father was also taken to the hospital as he was struck by the same car. The man was yet discharged and will receive treatment at home.
According to the National Patrolling Inspectorate, the road accident happened on Nicolae Testemitanu St in Chisinau. The preliminary investigations showed the accident was caused by a 31-year-old driver, whose vehicle hit that car, projecting it onto the sidewalk.
The driver to blame will most probably be investigated criminally and will be banned from driving for a four-year period.
