Two men, aged 26 and 27, were indicted for the rape of an 18-year-old mentally disabled girl. If found guilty, they risk a maximum prison sentence of 12 years, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, it happened in northern Moldova. The two lured the young woman to the home of one of them under the pretext of drinking alcohol.

After consuming alcohol, the two threatened and physically assaulted the young woman and raped her. The men knew that the young woman suffers from a mental illness that limits her full ability to realize the actions performed with regard to her and to direct them.

The criminal case was sent to the court for examination.
