Two men were rushed to the hospital in the morning of January 10 after the vehicles by which they travelled crashed violently on Dacia Blvd. Traffic jams appeared on the roads going to Chisinau.

Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that a 27-year-old man travelling to the airport lost control of the car and this collided head-on with a minibus coming from the opposite direction. Both of the units of transport were equipped appropriately for winter. The drivers will be subject to a blood alcohol test.

The driver aged 27 and a passenger from the minibus aged 56 were transported to the hospital. Press officer of the Emergency Medicine Institute Cristina Gorea told IPN that the two men were examined and their lives are out of danger.

As many as 34 road accidents happened in the municipality of Chisinau during the last 24 hours, until 8am of January 10. A number of 21 accidents occurred in Chisinau between 8am and 9am.
