Publika TV condemns the aggressive actions to which its journalists and journalists of other media outlets are subject by some of the protesters mobilized by the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”. On November 29, a group of protesters of the Platform ill-treated and insulted journalists of Publika TV. In the same connection, the portal today.md condemns the physical abuse to which one of its cameramen was subject during the November 29 protests, IPN reports.

“We ascertain with regret that such violent behavior is adopted at almost all the mass demonstrations staged by the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, while our journalists become the protesters’ target for physical and verbal abuse. We consider that by their actions, the sympathizers of the Platform seriously violate journalists’ rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution and other national and international acts. We thus call on the local and international media organizations that defend the human rights and the embassies working in Chisinau to take attitude and condemn the deviations from the democratic norms allowed during the protests mounted by the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”,” Publika TV says in a note.

During the November 29 protests, a cameraman of today.md was hit violently by a protester. The young man suffered a concussion.
