Twenty-first party applies to be registered as election contender
The Social Political Movement of the Roma of Moldova may take the 21st position in the ballots for the November 28 early legislative elections. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has seven day to examine the documents lodged by the organization on October 21, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Under the Election Code, to enter Parliament the parties must poll 4% of the vote, the independent candidates - 2%, while the electoral blocs - 7% if they are composed of two parties and 9% if they consist of three and more parties.
Until now, the CEC has registered the following election contenders:
1. The National Liberal Party
2. The Democrat Party of Moldova
3. The Liberal Party
4. The United Moldova Party
5. The Christian Democratic People's Party
6. The European Action Movement
7. Moldova's Patriots Party
8. The Party for Nation and Country
9. The Republican Party of Moldova
10. The “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Party
11. The Humanist Party of Moldova
12. The Communists Party of Moldova
13. The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova
14. Valeriu Plesca
15. The Conservative Party
