A man died this evening after a branch broke off a poplar and fell on him in Chisinau’s Râșcani district.
Chisinau Police spokesperson Natalia Stati told IPN an emergency call came in at around 7:00 p.m. and the officers responding to the scene discovered the 54-year-old man crushed by the branch. The victim died in hospital shortly.
The police have asked the help of the Green Spaces Agency to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
