Voters from the localities situated on the left bank of the Nistru will be able to vote in the national constitutional referendum and the presidential election of October 20 at 30 polling stations that will be established by the constitutional authorities. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.

“When setting up polling stations for this category of voters, data from the State Register of Voters, which are compared with the dynamics of their participation in the last three elections, and also information or proposals of the entities responsible for implementing the reintegration and security policy are taken into account,” said Commission member Tatiana Barburoș.

She noted that according to the State Register of Voters, the people eligible to vote living on the left bank of the Nistru on August 20 numbered 284,027.
