The winter vacation of schoolchildren in the Transnistrian region will be extended until January 20 in the context of the energy crisis. The decision was taken by the crisis cell in Tiraspol, TSV Pridnestrovie reports, cited by IPN.
Representatives of the so-called Education Ministry said that the vacation of pupils in colleges will also be extended until January 20, the source said.
Authorities in Tiraspol said that initially it had been proposed to switch to online education, but due to electricity disconnections it will not be possible for teachers and students to attend lessons simultaneously.
In order to make up for lost vacation time, several subjects will be concentrated in one lesson, the so-called Education Ministry explained.
