A man aged 42 was placed under intensive care with burns and other traumas that he suffered when the tractor he was driving was hit by a truck and caught fire. It happened between Congaz and Svetlyi villages of Comrat municipality in the evening of May 25.

Snejana Tucan, press officer of the Gagauzia Police Division, has told IPN that the truck was driven by a man of the same age from Iargara. The driver ignored the traffic conditions and, intending to overtake a car, struck the tractor that was coming from a secondary road.

The tractor driver, who is from Congaz, suffered burns on 40% of the body and was admitted to the intensive care section of the Comrat District Hospital. Doctors are considering the possibility of transporting him to Chisinau.
