The tourist attractions in the capital city of the Republic of Moldova are presented by the delegation of the Chisinau City at the 2025 FITUR international exhibition mounted in Madrid, Spain. The event brings together global leaders of the tourism industry, and Chisinau aims to strengthen its place on the map of unique destinations in Europe, the municipality said, quoted by IPN.
This week, the Chisinau City Hall’s delegation, led by the head of the Economy, Trade and Tourism Department Roman Vitiuc, details the projects that transform Chisinau into an attractive destination for visitors, highlighting the tourist attractions and routes, cultural and gastronomic locations, as well as the special events that define the cultural life of the capital city.
Moldova’s stand at FITUR Madrid 2025 was visited by the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Spain.
With the support of the National Office of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and strategic partners, such as USAID Moldova, the Chisinau City Hall presented to international visitors the authentic essence of Moldova: traditions, award-winning wines and hospitality.
FITUR Madrid is an opportunity for promotion, a chance to strengthen international tourism and economic relations, positioning Chisinau as a top destination globally, the municipality said.
In recent years, the Chisinau City Hall launched the municipal tourist platform visit.chisinau.md, the tourist trolleybus and tourist map of the capital city. Likewise, 25 pedestrian plaques in all sectors of the city connect more than 10,000 Google Maps users to the history of the city.
