The Transnistrian region intends to borrow 3 million cubic meters of gas from Chisinau. At the meeting of the so-called crisis cell in Tiraspol, it was noted that Tiraspoltransgaz is ready to pay for or give back the volume of gas, IPN reports.

According to the Transnistrian administration, the volumes are necessary in order to maintain gas in the system. If this is not available, after the resumption of deliveries, the Transnistrian region will remain without heat at least until the end of winter.

The self-styled authorities also said that the request regarding the 3 million cubic meters of gas is to be examined on Monday by the "competent commission" of the Republic of Moldova.

According to sources within the Government, the Commission for Emergency Situations (CES) is to meet at 02:00 p.m.
