Tiraspol politicians Litskay and Maracuta on ring?
Tiraspol-based analysts talk of a split within the political topnotch in the area. The question is about an attempt to re-distribute the influence within the power structure, of removing competition, they mention in commenting the last accusations exchanged between the manqué foreign minister of the area, Valeri Litskay and parliamentarian Grigore Maracuta.
“The experienced and shrewd politician Maracuta most certainly pondered before over deciding to insult Litskay in interviews. Yet also the foreign minister has shown he is smart and has thrown the stones back into the MP’s garden, blaming the Suprme Soviet (parliament) for the failures of the foreign policy,” underline experts from sociology center “S-Tsentr”, quoted by Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in the area.
Maracuta has accused Litskay of the failure of the hearings in the Russian State Duma on the self-proclaimed states. According to him, the absolute guilt rests with the foreign minister who „lost it bluntly before the Moldovan politicians”.
In S-Tsentr experts’ opinion, the dispute between parliamentarian Maracuta and minister Litskay mirrors the intestine processes of the Transnistrian regional elite.
