Two girls and a man aged 22 lost their lives in a traffic accident near Cupcini village of Edinet district. The vehicle in which they travelled skidded off the road at a turn and crashed into a tree. According to the preliminary conclusions, the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was speeding, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the accident happened at about 3:30am on February 28. There were eight persons aged between 19 and 24 in the BMW car. They were all from Edinet district and were returning from a nightclub.
The driver of the vehicle and those who survived were subject to alcohol testing. It was established that they all were inebriated. The driver also didn’t have a driver’s license.
An investigation is under way to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
