Three Thousand Youngsters to Join the Army
3065 young men will be enlisted in the National Army, Carabineers Troops and the Frontier Guards Service of the Republic of Moldova, from May 1 till June 30.
According to the head of the administrative-military Department of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Ilie Bucuci, the biggest part of the recruits will be enlisted in the National Army units – 1315 persons, Carabineers troops – 825 recruits and the Frontier Guards Service – 850 recruits.
The Ministry of Defense also informs that on the short-term military service will be enlisted 75 persons from among the graduates of the superior education institutions: 25 in the National Army and 50 in the Frontier Guards Service.
In the spring of 2005, 3370 persons were enlisted in the active military service of the Military Forces of the Republic of Moldova.
