Three persons were remanded in custody for 30 days as they are suspected of selling synthetic drugs through online stores. The police confiscated about 1 kg of such substances to the value of approximately 600,000 lei, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the suspects aged 25 and 30, who temporarily live in the capital city, designed a scheme by which they managed a network for selling drugs through the agency of Telegram.

Three persons were arrested at the end of July. Two of them were caught in the act of placing drugs in hiding places.

The police identified 25 locations with hidden drugs and carried out searches at the homes of suspects.

Besides the synthetic drugs, the police also seized mobile phones, computers, scales and packets that were to be used to pack drugs.

The suspects face jail terms of seven to 15 years.
