The European Grappling, Alysh, Belt Wrestling, Kazakh Kuresh and Traditional Wrestling Championships ended in Serbia. Moldova was represented by three athletes who all won medals, IPN reports.
Igor Besleaga became European grappling champion after beating Ukraine’s Yaroshuchuk in the 77 kg class in the final. Grigore Panfilii won silver, while Ion Cojocaru won bronze.
The competition in Serbia involved athletes from 14 countries. Moldova’s team was led by coach Ivan Gheorghiu.
