Three European ministers on visit to Chisinau

The foreign ministers of Romania, the Czech Republic and Lithuania have come to Chisinau to take part in the third informal meeting of the Group for European Action of Moldova, which will be held on September 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communique from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Romania's Teodor Bakonski will meet with Acting President Mihai Ghimpu and Prime Minister Vlad Filat. The meetings will center on the cooperation between the two countries, including the promotion of crossborder projects, facilitation of the commercial relations, attraction of investments to Moldova's economy. Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg will have a series of bilateral meetings that will focus on the cooperation between Moldova and the Czech Republic, Moldova's European integration, the Transnistrian conflict, technical assistance projects and other issues. There will be signed a memorandum of cooperation in European integration and an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in education, culture, youth and sport. Lithuanian Minister Audronius Ažubalis and Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will participate in the opening of the first meeting of the Moldovan-Lithuanian commission for European integration. The projected meetings with Moldovan officials will be centered upon the Transnistrian dispute, given that Lithuania is to take over the OSCE Chairmanship in 2011, the development of bilateral technical assistance projects and other subjects. The first informal meeting of the Group for European Action of Moldova took place in Brussels, while the second – in Luxemburg. The aim of the Group is to support Moldova in its European integration efforts.
