The Academy of Sciences of Moldova will issue a study about artist Mihai Volontir, who is a Doctor Honoris Cauza. The volume will include scientific and publicistic works that combine different genres of art criticism and journalism, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Academy.
Ana-Maria Plamadeala, the head of the Arts Studying Center of the Academy's Cultural Patrimony Institute, said the volume will contain two main chapters: “Mihai Volontir and the National Theater” and “Mihai Volontir: Vocation for the Cinematographic Art”.
There will be also other chapters that will incorporate opinions and reflections, reviews, recollections of Mihai Volontir, bibliography, photographs etc.
The book will be accompanied by a DVD with sections from a series of movies, scenes from the most popular plays and some of the most famous songs.
The study about Mihai Volontir is the third in the “Famous Persons” series. The first two were “Vasile Coroban – Arbitrator in a World of Arbitrariness” and “Dumitru Matcovschi – Poet and Fortress Man”. They were printed at the publishing house “Stiinta”.
