The PLDM should accept the idea that it no longer has the largest number of seats in Parliament and the right to field the candidate for Prime Minister. The issue was discussed by the panel of the talk show “Fabrika” broadcast on Publika TV channel in the evening of December 16, IPN reports.

Victor Juc, vice director of the Institute of Legal and Political Research of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, considers the PLDM should not take part in governance, but should only help form a new government. “I think the best solution is for the PDM, PL and the Leanca group to form the government, while the PLDM and PCRM should help vote it in. It will be a minority government that will be subject to parliamentary control,” he stated.

Media analyst Cristian Tabara believes the PLDM should reach a consensus with the PDM. “I call on them to leave the frustrations aside and to be reasonable. They must make a concession. They created a whole concern to diabolize Plahotniuc. The law must be obeyed,” he said.

Politian Valentin Krylov, who founded the Party of Socialists, said the politicians fully detached themselves from the people by this dispute. “Regretfully, these parties ignore the responsibility they bear before the people. They do not have serious discussions, but resort to intrigue and ambuscades. The parties of the left could remedy the situation. The problem is that we do not have authentic parties of the left,” he stated.
