In the Republic of Moldova, they do only institutional reforms and do not implement reforms that would lead to an increase in the country’s production capacity, analyst Victor Doras stated in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

According to him, institutional reforms are permanently done in Moldova. In this regard, the reform proposed by the Government through its plan of action for the next half a year is very ambitious. “But the reforms in our country do not reach their goal, while the final goal is not the reform itself, but the improvement of the capacities of the state and of the economy of the Republic of Moldova. In this regard, I’m very skeptical,” said the commentator.

Vitalie Gamurari, spokesman for the Democratic Party, said investments never come to a society where no reforms are done, where the political class is not changed and where the ruling party does not assume responsibility.

Constitution law expert Teodor Carnat said he sees a surplus value in the government’s proposals aimed at improving the living standards in Moldova. Now that they aim to reduce the number of civil servants, the costs for maintaining the rather large class of functionaries in Moldova will decrease. “The reduction in costs for maintaining these functionaries will enable the state to invest more money in infrastructure, social development, education, healthcare, etc. Therefore, I consider this law on the Government is good,” stated Teodor Carnat.

Nicolae Afanas, head of the International Relations Department of the Institute of International Relations of Moldova, said being in power means daily assumption of responsibilities before the people and the development partners. “Consequently, we cannot divide these two notions into political power and the responsibilities assumed by this power,” he said.
