The leader of Transnistrian region, Igor Smirnov, considers that Moldova uses misunderstandings with Russia and West, in order to implement the “colorful” scenery and to attain its old aim – to liquidate Transnistria. In this sense, Smirnov noted during the 6-th congress of deputies of all levels, held in Tiraspol on Friday, 31 March, Moldova undertakes many actions, including the liquidation plan of Transnistria of negotiation process. Moreover, Moldova wants to give up all previousl agreements regarding the creation of a common state and to get back to unitary concept. Regarding the economy, Smirnov noted, Moldova tries to minimize the international right of Transnistria to an independent activity and creates obstacles for businessmen. Smirnov noted that all actions undertaken by Moldova have the aim to get Transnistrian region. He said that he does not trust the statements of leadership of Chisinau referring to facilities and preferences given to Transnistrian enterprises, their real aim being to destroy the4 unity of Transnistrian society and its economic background. Igor Smirnov considers that achieving these plans started when Ukraine got involved on 3 March in „blocking actions of Transnistria”. He was satisfied with Russia’s reaction to events of last period, but as well by the fact that Moscow „took a strategic action in Transnistria’s direction”. According to separatist leader, Russia got from declarative policy to concrete actions. „We expect from Russia not only the involvement in solving the customs crisis, but also implementation of serious actions”. Referring to new customs regulations, Smirnov said that „of the first days of economic blockade leadership of Transnistria adopted a set of measures, such as creation of a coordinating council and drafting of anti-crisis program, which at the moment is implemented by all state structures”. 660 delegates of all levels take part in this event of Tiraspol, according to Olvia-press.
