The movie "Tata" screened at the Council of Europe

The documentary "Tata", directed by Lina Vdovi from Moldova and Radu Ciorniciuc from Romania, will be screened at the Council of Europe at the invitation of the President of the EC Parliamentary Assembly, Theodoros Rousopoulos, IPN reports.

During the FIPADOC 2025 festival, the Council of Europe awarded a special trophy to the documentary, recognizing its merit for bringing key human rights issues to the forefront and generating discussions that go beyond the screen.

"Tata" is the personal story of director Lina Vdoviy. The documentary brings her story, her violent background, her relationship with her own father and the process of healing from inherited traumas to the attention of the audience.

In parallel, the documentary, filmed over six years in Italy, the Republic of Moldova and Romania, presents an investigation into the working conditions of Romanian and Moldovan workers in Italy.
