The Greens support Maia Sandu in runoff: Our vote is an invincible weapon against the Kremlin's influence

The Ecologist Green Party (PVE) urges the citizens to exercise their right to vote in the November 3 runoff presidential election. In a news conference hosted by IPN, the party's leaders underlined the importance of a massive voter turnout in order to protect democracy and the future of the Republic of Moldova, stressing the risks of potential harmful external influences.

The leaders of the Ecologist Green Party has publicly declared its support for the candidate of the Party of Action and Solidarity Maia Sandu in the runoff presidential election.

PVE chairman Anatolie Prohnitsky warned about the risks of external influences that threaten the country's sovereignty: "The massive fraud in the first round is not only a blow to democracy, but is also an attempt by the Russian Federation to turn the Republic of Moldova into a docile annex. We must act! Voting is our invincible weapon, which will save our future and peace," he stated.

The party's deputy chairman Maxim Gritsunic noted that the values that unite the Ecologist Green Party and the Party of Action and Solidarity refer to a prosperous and safe future for all citizens, regardless of the language spoken or the political affiliation. "Maia Sandu is the President who can unite the nation in times of crisis, as she did during the pandemic and the Ukrainian refugee crisis. She showed that, through concrete actions, she supports the sustainable development of our localities," said Maxim Gritsunic.

The head of the PVE’s National Council Andrei Dumbrăveanu made a call for unity and responsibility in the face of the current challenges. "These elections are not about positions or parties. They are about our future and the future of our children. On November 3, let's vote strategically, for a future of peace and prosperity," urged Andrei Dumbrăveanu.

The PVE reaffirmed its support for Maia Sandu. It considers that she is the only leader capable of defending the democratic values of the Republic of Moldova and ensuring a responsible government for all citizens.

PAS candidate Maia Sandu and PSRM candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo, who won most votes in the first round of voting, will compete in the runoff presidential election on November 3.
