The Government allocated for the first time money for repairing houses of culture
About 17 cultural institutions of Moldova are to be repaired this year. The Government allocated, for the first time, 20 million lei for repairing these institutions.
According to a press release of the Government, the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev order to the Ministry of Finance to include in the state budget for 2007 a separate chapter for making the financing of the culture houses a tradition.
At a meeting with decision-making authorities, Vasile Tarlev appreciated the activity of the Social Investments Fund of Moldova (SIFM) in this program, through the agency of which the money were administrated. He emphasized that the projects implemented with the help of FISM are successful, taking into consideration the fact that at the inhabitants of the village give a lift to the implementation of the project.
At the same time, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was ordered to inventory the cultural edifices and the libraries from the villages.
