The first batch of 2025 rabies vaccine has arrived in the Republic of Moldova. There are seven thousand doses of rabies vaccine and 42 vials of rabies immunoglobulin. The National Health Insurance Company has allocated 909 000 lei from the fund of prophylaxis measures for the procurement of the first batch of immunologic anti-rabies preparations.
According to a CNAM press release, both preparations are of Indian production. They were received at the national vaccine warehouse of the National Agency for Public Health.
The rabies serum is indicated for the prevention of rabies in children and adults and is used before and after exposure to the rabies virus as primary immunization.
