Over 250 parliamentaries will attend the 5-th winter session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, held on 23-24 February, according to official OSCE site. According to draft agenda, on Thursday morning, the meetings of the permanent committee will take place, then it will be held the joint meeting of 3 committee. At the first joint meeting, Alcee L. Hastings chairman of the parliamentary assembly, Austrian president Heinz Fischer and OSCE chairman Karel de Gucht will take the floor. In the afternoon the meetings of the joint committee on political and security issues and the one for economy, science, technology and environment will take place. The second day, the meeting of the joint committee for democracy, human rights and human matters will be held. Then it will take place debates on integration of new and old minorities within the society. At the end of the meeting, it will take place the final meeting of these 3 joint committees. During the winter meeting the parliamentarians will be able to be familiarised about OSCE current developments, and will have the possibility co communicate with their OSCE colleagues. The members as well will be informed about the preparations for the annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly held in Brussels on 3-7 July. OSCE winter session is organised in Vienna starting February 2001.
