“Termocom” wants higher tariff for power
“Termocom” JSC wants a tariff of MDL 601.8 for power against the present tariff of MDL 540 set by the Chisinau Municipal Council at the beginning of the year.
According to Company’s Commercial Director Mihai Arusoi, the present tariff became unreal after the National Agency for Energy Regulation increased the tariff provided by CET-1 in February – up to MDL 322.92/ G-calorie, and for that produced by CET 2 – MDL 241.11/ G-calorie. The price of MDL 540 per G-calorie includes the previous tariffs of CETs – MDL 255, and MDL 190, respectively.
Mihai Arusoi did not specify if “Termocom” JSC will ask the Chisinau Municipal Council to increase the tariff.
According to the data from the Economy, Reforms and Patrimonial Relations Department of “Termocom” JSC, 60% of the present tariff of MDL 540 is due to the cost of the energy bought by “Termocom” JSC from CETs and the consumption of energy from the autonomous boiler houses of the company. Another 23.4% of the tariff is the expenses of the company for the salaries of those 1800 employees, 11.6% are taxes, payment of credits, maintenance of meters, telecommunication services, 5% - for profit, and the rest are expenses related to the transport and distribution of thermal energy.
The increase of the tariff for power to MDL 540 was approved at the beginning of this year. During 9 years it was constant. The increase was decided as a result of the increase in the production cost of a G-calorie, including the price of water – 2.6-fold, natural gas – 2.4-fold, power – 1.8-fold, of pipes – 4-fold etc.
The consumers paid only MDL 233, as the local budget compensated about MDL 307.
