The management of JSC „Termocom” considers that by sequestering apartments and goods from apartments will push consumers to pay all their debts, until November 1, and even a part of the debts of the last heating season which amount to 9 million lei. According to the manager of JSC „Termocom”, Mihai Arusoi, over 43,000 apartments of the municipality have debts of over 1,000 lei per apartment, but only the apartments with debts of over 7,000 lei are switched off the central heating system. The work group, composed of engineers, jurists and administrators of apartment blocks, is still working in Chisinau informing the debtors about the sanctions applied if they do not pay their debts. Arusoi notes that „people are receptive and promise to pay the debts until the beginning of the heating season”. According to the JSC „Termocom” representative, only those who refuse to pay the thermal energy consumption are sued, at the moment 10,000 cases are examined in court. According to court decisions, sequester was already put on 11 apartments. Arusoi notes that „Termocom” „is accepting the situation” of old people and the poor ones; if they see that they do not have how to pay, but such concessions are not made for old people „having grandchildren abroad”. Interim mayor Vasile Ursu warned the management of the central heat supplier that „he will break the relationships” with this enterprise if he will find out that it practices settling accounts with the apartment blocks’ managers. As it was mentioned on Monday, at the operative meeting of the mayoralty, „there is too much coincidence” that two weeks ago, 29 blocks of APLP 54/219 of the Ciocana district were switched off the hot water supply system, right after they have won the case against „Termocom” in the court. Arusoi justified these actions by the fact that in Ciocana district the lowest payment rate is registered. He said that the apartment blocks are switched off if the payment percentage is lower than 20%. The total consumers’ debt to JSC „Termocom” amounts to over 300 million lei. Its greatest share belongs to home consumers.
